Madavor Media, LLC, Announces the Merger of Digital Photo Pro and HDVideoPro Magazines

BRAINTREE, MA, November 4, 2016: Madavor Media is proud to announce that cutting-edge photo and video publications, Digital Photo Pro (DPP) and HDVideoPro (HDVP), will be combined into one powerhouse print title starting with the January/February 2017 issue of DPP. In an effort to provide loyal readers with all facets of still and motion, HDVP will appear as a special section in DPP and will enhance the impact of the publication.

DPP Editor David Schloss confirms, “For nearly 20 years, I’ve watched the evolution of digital cameras and talked to pros about how digital has changed their lives. One thing has become overwhelmingly clear in the last five years or so—the digital revolution in photography that enables pros to create images more quickly, more efficiently and more creatively is now allowing photographers to take the natural next step into video. As the barriers between the still image and video crumble, photographers have been able to express themselves with new creative tools, and this has revolutionized the world of photography once again.”

As a leading source for new ideas, methods, techniques and ways of seeing pictures, DPP has been a source of inspiration for the professional photographer. It has provided creative solutions from still and video capture to artistic output solutions since its first publication in 2003.

HDVP is the premier resource for a new generation of filmmakers and motion photographers with a powerful mix of interviews with today’s leading cinematographers and videographers, comprehensive equipment reviews and detailed workflow content. Since 2007, HDVP has been a rich collection of information for professionals in the video industry.

With HDVP now part of DPP, circulation size will increase from 30,000 to 45,000, reaching a wider audience with overlapping interests in capturing the visual arts. Digital reach will continue to be maximized through two independent websites: and

DPP, now enhanced with HDVP content, will be a comprehensive content source that covers the on-trend convergence of photo and video in 2017. The January/February issue will hit newsstands on January 17, 2017.
