Media Sales Representative

SUMMARY:

The Media Sales Representative will be responsible for advertising sales for our print and digital properties. This role has a strong knowledge of digital products and applications such as Search Engine Marketing, Audience and Search Retargeting, Social Media Management and Marketing, Digital Display and Email marketing. The Media Sales Representative has a keen understanding of the media industry, market opportunities, and audience for the assigned properties. Responsibilities will include managing and growing assigned accounts, building strategic partnerships and working closely with client and prospects to develop standard and custom marketing campaigns that address client objectives and help ensure clients reach their target audience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn and expand your understanding of Madavor Media’s publications and digital platforms
  • Articulate Madavor Media’s overall business objectives and value proposition to customers
  • Source, develop, close and manage a pipeline of new client prospects
  • Manage and maintain customer accounts
  • Manage time effectively to prospect, follow up with and grow existing accounts, and manage administrative responsibilities
  • Develop and implement custom marketing opportunities based on customer need, to increase customer satisfaction and advertising spend
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a focus on details and the needs of the client
  • Weekly sales forecasting and pipeline management
  • Coordinate with creative, production and management staff on ad materials and marketing initiatives
  • Occasional travel required to attend trade shows, conferences, customer events and client meetings
  • All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of digital advertising experience
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • CRM experience required
  • Skilled in digital advertising principles and products
  • Ability to make 30 plus quality prospecting phone calls per day
  • Self-motivated and persuasive with the ability to overcome objections
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work effectively and creatively within a team environment as well as independently
