Advertising Sales Representative Madavor Media, LLC, headquartered based in Boston’s Back Bay, is seeking a high-energy, results-oriented, experienced Advertising Sales Representatives for two of its newly acquired group of seven enthusiast magazines. The Advertising Sales Representative will assume overall responsibility for lead generation, prospecting, developing and closing advertising sales for the title (both print and online products) and will report to the Group Publisher. The key attributes for success in this position are the ability to be a self-starter, strong prospecting and closing skills, the ability to meet or exceed sales goals, and the ability to represent the company well in its dealings with advertisers and industry partners. The ideal candidate should be equipped to “roll up their sleeves” in a fast paced, small/emerging company environment. Madavor Media is an emerging media company that owns seven longstanding enthusiast magazines that are each #1 in their respective markets: International Figure Skating, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Doll Reader, Teddy Bear and Friends, TeddyCrafts, and Dollhouse Miniatures. Madavor is actively scouting further acquisition and development opportunities to bring additional periodicals into its portfolio, with a view toward building Madavor into a substantial, high growth specialty publisher. The Advertising Sales Representative will assume overall responsibility for delivering advertising revenue from the title and its derivative products. Among the key responsibilities the successful candidate will assume are: ? Generating leads, prospecting, developing and closing advertising sales at or above the sales targets established by the Publisher. ? Quickly developing strong relationships with key industry participants and partners in the relevant markets ? Building, maintaining and updating a comprehensive prospect database in ACT. ? Finding creative ways to attract and retain advertising clients from ancillary and adjacent market sectors. ? Assisting in brainstorming new product line extensions and delivering advertising and sponsorship revenue to support those products. ? Enhancing the company’s reputation with advertisers and prospects through positive, professional interaction. ? Participating as part of high performance team focused on generating and sustaining high and profitable long-term business growth Compensation for the position will be competitive (including a substantial commission opportunity), with a full benefits package.
