Two Madavor Titles Enter into New Partnership

Doll Reader and Teddy Bear & Friends Merge with Similar Publications, IDEX Continues

Two of Madavor’s longstanding titles are embarking on a new partnership. Teddy Bear & Friends and Doll Reader, which have been on Madavor’s roster since the company was founded, have merged with two similar publications from Jones Publishing: Teddy Bear Review and DOLLS. The merger was announced at the Debut of Dolls event at the IDEX tradeshow in Orlando, Fla., on January 27, 2012. At this time the two companies also disclosed that they will be partnering on the tradeshow, with Madavor continuing to be the official host of IDEX.

Jones will handle the publication of both magazines as well as the upkeep of the websites. The new teddy bear magazine will retain the title Teddy Bear & Friends, while the doll magazine will keep the name DOLLS. Teddy Bear & Friends will increase its publication to 6 times per year and DOLLS to 12 times per year. The websites of the newly partnered magazines will also be merged in the near future, and subscribers of both magazines will receive the enhanced publication.

“By working collaboratively with our industry partners, we know that we can help make the industry stronger,” said IDEX and Madavor Vice President Susan Fitzgerald. “This new merger will allow us to reach more people and, in turn, grow the publications and their content. We believe this will also help to develop and expand IDEX, which remains the leading industry show.”
